About a week ago, I asked you, my friends, to pray for my mother - TopicsExpress

About a week ago, I asked you, my friends, to pray for my mother as she faced a critical health situation. At the time, we were expecting she would only last 24-48 hours. She was battling a severe infection in her abdominal area that the doctors could not exactly diagnose. Several tests were conducted and several blood transfusions were administered. Finally, after little progress, we decided a couple days ago with her that after the last transfusion, we would move her out of critical care regardless of the prospects and let things play out. Call it letting God take over for man’s lame attempts. I made arrangements to travel to Michigan and was actually in transit when my brother called and said Mom was all of a sudden making remarkable progress. Since that time (24 hours ago), she has been out of bed and “bragging” about being able to sit in a chair. We still don’t know what the near term future will bring and what God has in mind. We still ask for prayer, but not a “heal Mom” prayer. We ask that God is glorified in whatever happens. We feel now an unbelievable peace and closeness with God that I wish would never end. I believe that is the result of prayer from you all. Thank you for that and thank you for your thoughts. My prayer is that we all will see the importance of where we will spend eternity and not what happens to us over the next few days.
