About science: My problem isnt with the theory of evolution. It is with the abuse of the claim of science to arbitrarily declare, The debate is over -- that there is a consensus which generally amounts to a declaration that my test tube says that there is no God and you should vote for Democrats. Hundreds of years ago, we got our doctrine from the men in the black robes. Whatever the men in the black robes said was accepted as the truth for the medieval community. Unquestioningly. Because they and their books said so. But weve thrown out the men in the black robes. That was probably a good thing. The trouble is that instead of actually thinking for ourselves, we have now replaced the men in the black robes with the men in the white lab coats. Whatever they say is accepted as gospel, because they and their science say so. If we treat the men in the white lab coats exactly the same way as we used to treat the men in the black robes then nothing has changed. We have not become any more intelligent or rational than we were before. We are not any more safe against tyranny and error. We are equally as blind as the most uneducated medieval peasants. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
