About the Home Owner that shot the young intruder: It has been stated that, In this case the law is letting this man get away with Murder. I disagree. The homeowner had every right to protect himself and his property. Had it been the other way, and the homeowner been killed, the intruder (MURDERER) would have plea bargained and received anywhere from 14 years to life. If you take a life, other than protecting yourself, your family, or your property, I believe you should receive the Death Penalty. This should be a National Law. Not more gun control. Why should the taxpayer have to pay for someone elses actions. The correctional facilities would have a lot more vacancies. I do sympathize with the home owner, and the young mans parents.
