About the Michael Brown grand inquisition: 1. For sake of argument, set aside the kid part of Brown. Call him a person whos 64 and 290 (which, by the way, is not someone in shape). Lets say hes on speed and crack and half-crazed. The trained police officer is 64 and 220 (more likely in shape numbers). Not small. His paid occupation is to get control of situations that are not under control. A gangster might execute--1st or 2nd degree murder--an unarmed man hes gotten pissed at from a distance in 3 shots. Not 6. Not 7. Isnt 8 surely 1st degree? How about 12? That would almost certainly be called personal and chosen. The shooter would be charged and convicted of a willful crime, even if it was that he lost control like a enraged man. No one gets to personally execute anyone with impunity. But LEAST of all a drunken with fear or rage or both paid cop chasing a lets say a drugged crazed whatever huge man. He signed up for THIS job. Michael Brown was unarmed and not on speed or crack. All he was on was Black to a white cop on an all-white police force. 2. The fact that the announcement was at 9 pm--in every way signs pointed to the obvious no charge--except the evening hour seemed so crazy I thought they couldnt say this, made no sense. After, I thought it was another instance of remarkably stupid, white superiority and condescension about minority people. But I was wrong. They did that consciously. They wanted to isolate those on the streets at that hour as ones to watch. They applied social science to riot situations. So disgusting and shameful. What is so much similar about what is happening in Mexico with Ayotzinapa and now Ferguson in America is how distant from actual, real humans who live in their country, and the disrespect they are given by their rulers. No more 1%...no more only the top 20% who live off the unimportant, invisible 80% who live off pages and screens who are in real neighborhoods and villages where they are, usually, controlled by fear and consequences if they try to disturb their rulers.
