About the Scholarship The HIP Atlanta scholarship was designed for minority undergraduate students majoring in Hospitality Administration at a local Atlanta college or university. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate leadership and community service and the scholarship recipient must be a student member and actively involved with HIP Atlanta. >APPLICATION MATERIALS >1. typed, double-spaced, 500-word (no more than two pages) essay >2. current transcript >3. résumé >4. short biography of student’s accomplishments, interests, and hobbies (no more than one page) >5. statement of involvement with HIP Atlanta that includes involvement with a committee and/or as a student HIP Ambassador >APPLICATION PROCESS >Application materials are available in Microsoft Word and can be found at hip-atlanta. >Completed applications must be typed and submitted to scholarship@hip-atlanta by 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2013. >Incomplete application packets will not be eligible for consideration. All finalists will be notified via e-mail no later than September 16, 2013.
