About the theory of zero summation... Many people believe in the theory of zero summation which states that if you sum everything in this world up the net value is zero. For instance, you lose 10$, hence someone will get your 10$ and the net sum is zero. This theory seems to be more plausible when it links to the idea of balance, harmonization, or karma of the eastern philosophy. I used to be asked by some friends about the plausibility of the theory. For me, the theory is very ideal; it is not applicable in reality. For instance, re-visit our previous example of losing 10$. Suppose you be rich; losing 10$ doesnt concern you. A poor gets your 10$ and spends it worth for his life. He does not only get 10$, but also he gets happiness. There! if you truly sum everything up, there is a net positive value from the poors happiness. If you still insist on the theory, tell me what quantity or quality will cancel out the positive surplus... Actually, I can tell another story which ends up with net negative value -- the sadness, I may say. So, in fact, there exists a story which yields the zero summation. But, as I mentioned, the zero summation is very ideal.
