#Aboutlastnight each time she asked what I wanted to drink I said something #PRETTY. ..she provided me with AMAZING SERVICE and it helped that her nails were manicured, hair pulled back and extremely ATTENTIVE to me. .. as I was leaving at 2am she sat down wit me in tears crying and said I got off at 7pm but SOMETHING told me TO STAY... I really didnt want to have to forge a customer signature on the receipt although that was the only tip I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN all night pretty much (she pulled out her papers n showed me where hed taken the merchant copy so her employer CLAIMED they had to EAT THE COST) which is b.s nevertheless she believed em.. she confided in me that the group of 6 African American people whod just left whos bill totaled $95 just left her a tip for $3 then she asked what made me put what I put in there for HER when my total wasnt even near that. .. I had to gather myself for a quick second because NORMALLY IM THE TALKER, USUALLY Im the one doing the INTERROGATION n causing those around me to BRAINSTORM or to be able to exercise their CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS at any given moment. .. She asked was my service really WORTH THIS because ive had people tell me I was the BEST yet leave me NOTHING. .. I asked her name again, she said Cori. ... I said Cori. .. You were OUTSTANDING. . you made me feel APPRECIATED. .. I may NEVER EVER SEE YOU AGAIN IN LIFE so the ONLY WAY to have a MEMORABLE EFFECT on YOUR life is by what I leave you with at the end of the night. .. I cant save the WORLD CORI. .. but EVERY INDIVIDUAL that I have a personal encounter with WILL BE BLESSED through that interaction. . Lots of people HELPED ME at different times and in different ways and most times they were STRANGERS.... CORI, Im a MOTHER of SEVEN. .. Some GROWN NOW. . Some on their way n THREE LITTLE ONES. . THEY have NEVER gone without the things they NEED and we have ALWAYS BEEN VERY WEALTHY WITH LOVE. .. IVE cried, worked jobs I abhorred, lived in projects, moved from city to city state to state just to make a better way.. I cant giveu my life story sitting next to this table full of POLICE CORI cause if I go to cryin they gone swear Im drunk but to wrap it all up I KNOW for a FACT that i MADE IT not by GOD, THE POWERS THAT BE, BUDDHA, ALLAH, JEHOVAH, YAH, JESUS ALONE or WHATEVER you BELIEVE but by the PEOPLE HERE that walk this EARTH. .. THE LIGHTWORKERS that are somehow always in the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME not giving to those OPPORTUNISTS who attempt to defraud or use them by ASKING every chance they get but by seeking out the hearts of those TRULY in need of a BLESSING. . ITS NEVER THE SAME. . TONIGHT YOURS just happened to be FINANCIAL. .. . .. and the NEXT thing she said will stay with me FOREVER. ... HOW CAN I BE A LIGHTWORKER LIKE YOU MY RESPONSE: CORI YOU ALREADY ARE!!!! P.s she must have forgotten the part where I said PEOPLE helped me before. ... MY GOD! !!
