Above Only Daily Devotional cgmglobal.org/aboveonly (Lire en français: cgmglobal.org/aboveonly/fr) Monday, August 18 GET INTO THE NEW COVENANT Hebrews 8:6-7 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Moses was the mediator of the Old Covenant, and Jesus is the mediator of this New Covenant. As the Israelites received the Old Law from Moses you and I (Christs Household) need to receive this New Law from Christ. We need to learn of Him. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Its time to find rest for our souls. The Bible says that the glory of this New Covenant far outweighs that of the Old Covenant, 2Cor.3:7-9. As we understand this Law and walk in it, we will see more of this greater glory in manifestation in our generation. O how privileged you and I are to be a part of this glorious covenant in Christ! Hebrews 12:25-26 says see that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. The revelations of this new Covenant and our new life in Christ are going to shake heaven and earth. No wonder the Bible says even angels desire to look into these things, 1Pet.1:12. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not conceived the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. And God is revealing these things to us right now by His Spirit, 1Cor.2:9-10. PRAYER FOCUS: Pray that God will continue to give you a revelation of His word and a revelation of Himself.
