Above Only Daily Devotional cgmglobal.org/aboveonly Thursday, January 1 ENTER THE YEAR WITH THANKSGIVING Psalm 126:3, Psalm 100:4-5 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. *Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Join me to declare that, this is the year that the Lord has made and that throughout this year, you and I will rejoice and be glad in it! So shall it be unto us. The way you begin a new year is important and how you continue through and end the year is similarly important. Decide today, that this year will be full of thanksgiving for you and that in all things, you will give thanks. Also decide that, you will not take anything God does for you for granted. What name of God do you see Him manifest to you this year? Begin to call Him that name from now. This year, by Gods grace, you will not grumble or complain about anything. Instead of being anxious, you will use thanksgiving to pray about everything and you will have peace, Phil.4:6-7. This year, you will do the will of God by giving God thanks in all things 1Thes.5:18. The God that brought you into this year will keep you through this year and bless you mightily. In the year 2015, you will enjoy all the abundant blessings that accompany the commandment of thanksgiving. Remember that, your thanksgiving blesses God and stirs up joy on your inside. The Lord who has done a great thing by bringing you into this year, has also gone ahead of you to do great and glorious things for you. You have started building your year by laying the foundation of thanksgiving. This is a great and glorious year for you. Throughout this year, your testimony will be that the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever. PRAYER FOCUS: Thank God deeply for gracefully bringing you into this glorious year.
