Mark 9:23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. -------------------------------------------------------------------- God always frowned at the Israelites whenever they doubted. Because of their unbelief, they did not enter into the land that God promised them, Heb.3:16-19. They behaved like they did not know the God that they were serving. This was the same God that parted the Red Sea and consumed the angry Egyptian soldiers for them. Doubting Gods Word is actually the same as doubting Gods ability. Doubting God is believing that a situation is beyond God. It is amazing how anytime there was a difficulty they cried out that they wished to go back to Egypt. They did not want to dare believe God for the impossible. They were living by only what they could see and feel. The devil is a master at manipulating things in the natural realm to make us disbelieve God. The eyes of your heart must be stronger than the eyes of your head. The eyes of your heart are the eyes of faith. In Mark 9:17-27, when Jesus told the father of the afflicted child, that all things are possible if only he would believe, he cried out and said with tears, “LORD I believe, help thou mine unbelief”. He was willing to believe but it was hard for him. He still had some doubt in his heart, so he asked for help with his unbelief. What made this man different from the Israelites is his willingness to believe; to come out of his unbelief. Do not pretend that you believe when you dont. Jesus is still willing to help any unbelief you may have today if you are willing to allow Him help you out of it.
