Abruptly Firing and hiring a new Executive Editor is not the most - TopicsExpress

Abruptly Firing and hiring a new Executive Editor is not the most worrisome news at the NYTimes. What is far more disheartening, ill-advised, desperate and soul-selling is wasting precious paper, time, and space on Michael Alig, a disgusting sub-human life for who debased and defiled all he touched. He may have paid his price for the lives and era he destroyed but that hardly means that anyone should give a rats ass what or where he goes next. This is a city filled with ambitious adventurous and worthy people who might succeed, and in doing so elevate our lives, if the NYTImes told their story. Instead they have chosen to celebrate -there is no other word- an unworthy man with a spotlight he has yet to either earn or deserve. The NYTimes used to understand the difference between notability and notoriety. Perhaps the new Executive Editor will help return the paper to that states. It is too bad that the first issues under his watch has to feature an epic ode to man I its lowest form
