Absolute confusion everywhere I look regarding the 1st of November - TopicsExpress

Absolute confusion everywhere I look regarding the 1st of November - this is my take on what I have seen happen over the last few months on the lead up to now.. The fight back against the corruption in this country is well and truly on and the catalyst has been Irish Water - there have been people on the front line of this fight back for many months now in Cork, North Dublin and Waterford. On the 20th of September - Dublin Says No put a call out on Social Media for a protest in Dublin City, no flyers, poster or other media outlets were used - it was social media and word of mouth - the response on the day was huge and the reason for that was because Irish water is a step too far and the people are finally fighting back!! On the run up to this many Facebook pages were asked to share out the protest for the 20th of September, but the one page that stands out to me for not only completely ignoring this, but deleting it every time it was posted on their page is the People Before Profit page - the reason given, was because they didnt want confusion or to take away from their protest (the Right2water protest) which was taking place on the 11th of October... Anyway, despite all that, the protest on the 20th was fantastic, approximately 4,000 people attended and many, many more joining in from the streets of Dublin, even people laden with shopping bags, who were unaware of the march, but were delighted to see it taking place.. The atmosphere was brilliant and the people felt empowered and united.. The next day, Dublin Says No put up a status asking do people want to do it all again on the 1st of November - it was aimed at local marches and each county holding their own march on that date.. We then pushed out for the protest of Right2Water on the 11th of October and the numbers soared, because this was it - the people had had enough with the absolute sham that was #Irishwater, but also getting very wise to the absolute corruption that was rife in this country.. On the 11th of October, people came out in their hundreds of thousands - it was something very powerful to be part of - it was very different from other protests I had attended, it was a peoples march - led and empowered by the people.. As the speeches took place an announcement went out for a follow up protest in local areas on the 1st of November - I didnt think too much of it then - I literally thought it was highlighting the protest that the people had decided upon back in September and were already planning - in Dublin, the planning was under way for Dublin people to march on the city - others were starting to organise in their own county.. Heres where the confusion steps in, Right2Water who are mostly driven by People Before Profit and a few Unions, seem to massively splitting the county (and its not only happening in Dublin) and are calling for completely localised marches. These are the same people who did not want to share the protest on the 20th of September because they did not want to cause confusion.. So many people want to go into town and the confusion is rife, everywhere!!! Ballyfermot are having a local one, starting at 2.00 initially and then heading down to block the luas lines - they were asked about that and that it might stop people getting to the main one in town, but they said as they were only starting at 2.00 - that would not hinder people - now all of a sudden their time has changed to 1.00.. We all know that this is the peoples fight-back and unity is needed, we promoted and pushed out the 11th of Octobers R2W protest because we are all fighting the same issue, and it appeared no one was looking for control and credit - it was just brilliant that people were finally standing together.. That view for me now has completely changed and the agenda and behaviour of this group, R2W is very controlling - they say they are on your side, but that is a misconception - they want you to be on their side and promote them under the belief that we are all in this together!! For me, Im quite happy to unite with just the people, I have seen too much over the last while and tried too much - to have it completely thrown back in my face and that of many, many more people.. The fight back is on and you are running the risk of destroying so much through confusion and disillusionment!! The people need to stand together, empowered and united.. The people have the power not the parties.. I will be in Dublin City on the 1st of November to stand with the people!!
