Abu Bakr as Siddeeq (RadiAllahu Anhu) ````````````````````````````````` Named as-siddeeq for his unfaltering belief In the message revealed to his closest companion. From the arduous journeys under the desert heat To the darkness of the cave where they sought retreat, But teeming with snakes and scorpians, he obstructed their homes with his garments and feet, Stung & bitten, eyes streaming with pain, Yet not a sound he made to awake Nabi. The quraysh’s footsteps raised dust near the entrance Yet upon them decended tranquility and relief. ‘Laa Tahzan, Innallaha Ma’ana’ Close behind the Prophet in every campaign. In the precinct of the ka’aba, bloodied with his own shoes, And close to death, battered and bruised, But upon waking up the first thing on his conscious: ‘How is the beloved Prophet, our Rasūl?’ Known for his patience, wisdom & generosity Freeing the slaves before it became a popularity With a heart as soft and pure as milk Yet in the battles fierce as a lion, fighting with might & skill All of his wealth he gave away, leaving for his family Allāh & His Rasūl Standing all night outside the prophet’s door with a cup of water, And without even hearing news from the prophets mouth, ‘if it is is true that he said this, then i believe him’ Favorite of Muhammad (saw) among the men, & among the women was his very daughter, Āisha (r.a) Upon the passing of his beloved, childhood companion When the mightiest of men were delirious, Some in unbelief, some despondent, some oblivious, He held up with Emān unparalleled, for ‘whoever believed in Muhammad, know he is dead! But your Lord never dies, and Islam is alive! ‘ This was true love and brotherhood, through the pain of death he knew there was to be a reunion. Two & 1/2 years later, in the same spot and day, following the sunnah even in death Buried peacefully in the room of Umm al mu’minīn, he lies in rest Waiting the day when he will follow the prophet into Jannah, the first from the ummah Called from every gate, our first Khalifa, number one Sahabi, friend and advisor of the Nabi, Abdullah ibn Abi Quhāfa; Abu Bakr as Siddeeq. May Allāh be pleased with him.
