Abu Bakr cries victimization (By TTnewsflash Reporter) LEADER of the Jamaat al Muslimeen, Imam Yasin Abu Bakr claims victimization as the organisation was forced to close its secondary school, the Mucurapo Islamic College. Abu Bakr said the school cannot remain operational as it lacks funds and other resources. He added that Education Minister Dr. Tim Gopeesingh had promised assistance but nothing was ever received. The Imam said he believes there are some in society who still hold a grudge against the Jamaat al Muslimeen for leading the 1990 attempted coup against Trinidad and Tobago. He claimed the school is finding it difficult to place students in other schools in the secondary education system and the Education Ministry is doing nothing to help.
