Abusir and Saqqara in the Year 2015 – First Circular Prague, June 22–26, 2015 Dear Colleagues, on behalf of the Czech Institute of Egyptology, Charles University in Prague, we would kindly like to invite all scholars involved in primary research covering all principal fields of Egyptology connected to the relevant aspects of history, archaeology, environmental features, philology, art history, religion and other related subjects concerning the pyramid fields and cemeteries of Abusir and Saqqara and their adjacent areas to participate in the already fourth Abusir and Saqqara conference. The conference will be held at the premises of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, from Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26, 2015. The conference languages will be English, German and French, with 30 minutes allotted for each paper (25 minute talk and an additional 5 minutes for questions). Should you be interested in attending the meeting and giving a presentation, the organising committee invites proposals for papers and posters. We kindly ask you to submit the proposal of your research topic and the abstract (300-500 words) to the official conference email address abusaq2015@gmail. The file (.doc format) should include the title, the abstract and the authors’ name and affiliation. In order to timely assess your proposal for presentation the deadline for the abstracts submission is set for September 30, 2014. All proposals will be reviewed by a scientific committee and the authors will be notified of the results by October 15, 2014. The conference with presentations is the primary objective at the present time, but we also aim at the publication of all relevant and significant papers and studies. Should you have interest in the publication of your research only, please let us know clearly when turning in your proposal. The envisaged deadline for the submission of individual contributions will be December 15, 2015 (details will be supplied in due time). The conference fee for all registered speakers is set at 100 € (details for online payments only will be posted following the October 15 selection results). This amount covers the conference materials, coffee breaks and a reception. Visitors to the conference will be asked to pay 120 €, while the fee for students with proof of status is 80/50 € with/out the reception attendance.
