‘Academic achievement, regardless of the field, is characterized by an ability to decode complex ideas and establish relationships. Experiments in language, mathematics and science show that the most basic building block of learning is independently observing patterns’ (Silverman 1998). Everything whatsoever, positive or negative, is related or linked in some way to something. Things do not just happen, they follow a pattern. But unfortunately, the patterns they follow are subtle. It takes only a passionate observer to notice them. To notice patterns means to follow the trend of events; to take a look at the antecedent of an event or occurrence, to watch out for the relationship between two or more occurrences or events. This is one of the attributes of good scientists. God bless Odda students.
