Accepting your challenge Gio Tabanao. Here are 20 facts about me most people do not know. 1. My middle name is Casanova. Im the eldest of the 3rd generation of the Casanova-Zamora clan. My grandfather, Aurelio Casanova, was among the pioneer officials of Cotabato when it was still a town. His name is in the marker of the old City Hall as the first vice mayor, with Datu Mando Sinsuat as the first mayor of Cotabato. 2. I am also the eldest of nine (9) children of the Chua-Casanova union. My father, Ramon Chua Sr. died 5 years ago. 3. A certified public accountant (CPA) by profession, Im a sustaining life member (SLM) of PICPA and the past president of PICPA Cotabato, although Ive already stopped my practice since 2006. 4. I was also the past president of Rotaract Club and Rotary Club of Cotabato East and the Bankers Association of Cotabato. 5. I was the last Dean of the College of Commerce (1996) of Notre Dame University after I recommended its conversion to College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) to then President Eliseo Mercado Jr. My successor, Teresa Pia, became the first Dean of the CBA. 6. I am a graduate of the University of the East in Manila and not Notre Dame University, as most people often mistake me for. 7. I am now working in a charitable foundation as a consultant to a private philanthropic family with headquarters in Amsterdam, although I am based in Hong Kong because I am responsible for Southeast Asian countries; hence, the constant travels. 8. I still consider teaching as my best experience. 9. I am a dog person but I love animals in general. 10. The only insect that can make me scream to the top of my lungs is a cockroach. 11. I speak Filipino, English, conversational Chinese (Fookien), Chavacano, Bisaya and Ilonggo. I can understand a little Bahasa, Spanish and Mandarin. 12. This is my second life. I figured in a near fatal car accident in February 14, 1998. 13. My first day in my present job was February 14, 2011, exactly 13 years after that car accident. 14. My birthday is November 14, 1963. That makes me 51 this year. And I am of Chinese, Spanish and Muslim descent, my paternal grandparents being Chinese-Muslim and my maternal grandparents being Spanish-Filipino. 15. I dont believe in horoscope. I dont read them. 16. I dont believe in luck either. I believe that all things are part of a grand design. 17. I always see the good in all people I meet. 18. I seldom say NO. If I do, I have a strong reason. 19. I was a consistent honor student during my school days, although everyone in my family knows I hate studying. 20. I am a Facebook enthusiast.
