According to Jung, introverts are not seeking outside approval, but rather, their own “subjective appraisal.” Introverts are largely obsessed with fulfilling their own goals and passions. They are in sync with their innermost desires and have a tendency to care more about their own standards than anyone else’s. Caring about their own opinion more than those of others is often viewed as arrogant and pompous.
