According to a new study, the brains of insomniacs may work differently than those who sleep regularly. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University found that insomnia is not just a condition at night – instead, its a 24-hour condition that affects people with more active brains. So while having a more active brain is normally a good thing because it’s able to adapt to new memories and is generally better at learning, it also causes trouble because the brain doesn’t slow down enough to get into regular sleeping habits.
