According to a very good acquaintance whose advice is really valuable, this scribe is amidst a mob and becoming omni-directional. This is indeed a timely advice and one that this scribe too feels to fall heavily on his own consciousness since last few days. As human beings we are not designed to remain unbiased among the fighting mobs. We defend ourselves, get a beating, run away, come back in rage, take revenge, induce injury and get injured. The mob of ideas are not very different, the medium of text adds to the complexity; we read the text, interpret, make judgement, come back with a new argument, induce injury with an intent to ridicule or provoke response, and of course get injured, if not by others than by our own words that come back every once in a while and haunt us. We forget that we are dealing with real human beings out there, rather than mere thirty odd symbols. These chronicles were merely a literary experiment, a way to vent out angst, frustration, and of course stress but sometimes when such experiments are prolonged they give rise to new kind of existential crises. You tend to live in the text, feel it, think like a script-writer, behave like the gluttonous king, wave your own proverbial bat at the kids cultus, and make an effort to raise dead like the tele-evangelist. Unknowingly, you become all the actors at once, thus omni-directional. Its good for an individual to be able to flow in many waters, but it is not possible for that individual to be seen as belonging to all waters. People are just people; they tend to compartmentalize, categorize and label, and then align themselves to accord their responses. If we dont categorize, we cant communicate and understand the complexity of the world. But this scribe resists to be categorized; its not that he does not belong to one, but there might not yet be a name for that category. The fact is very unusual for the populace, and if its unusual in still waters, it becomes dangerous in turbulent and disruptive flows. The danger is primarily of being misunderstood, causing hurt or triggering hate. That is kind of an ironic paradox of all such engagements, that is, you tend to intervene in other peoples ideas in order to know the inner workings of human consciousness, in order to transform yours, in order to create a converging point, a center out of extreme polarization; but at the same time you are inevitable causing a challenge that demands an immediate response and reaction, thus moving people further to their respective extremities. Therefore, at that point, the experiment must culminate because the limits of understanding are already achieved. At some point of time, its not only logical but mandatory to get out of the proverbial mob, the container so to speak. Thus this scribe begs leave and will be back in few days when the turbulence is low and the televised and incessantly discussed revolution would either be knocking our doors or buried in the cesspool of all such revolutions.
