According to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law. The cartoons of #CharlieHebdo is clearly guilty of racism, bashing the Musilm immigrants who are minorities in France. The drawing incited violence in the past. The editor received death threats because the offence in Islamic law is punishable by death. The caricatures should have been restricted. The notion of such a restriction is not alien to the laws of France; for example, in France, you cannot, in the name of exercising your freedom of speech, deny that there was the Holocaust. You cant just abase Islam in the name of freedom of speech. The cartoon and the killing does not excuse the other. When you become Charlie, you condemn only the violence, while ignoring and failing to condemn the incitement and white racism. That is unfair. courtesy- Sharif Abu Hayat Opu and Mohammad Samiul Huq
