According to the Nātyaśāstra, the ancient Indian manual about theatre, there are ten types of people with ten types of specific skills who are fit to be critics. Each type was to judge what he was skilled to judge: 1) the Brahmans, experts in performance of sacrifice 2) experts in acting 3) prosodists 4) grammarians 5) kings 6) archers 7) painters 8) courtesans 9) musicians 10) courtiers. Based upon this list alone, I can only assume that Sanskrit drama was perhaps the most beautifully eloquent and action-packed thing to hit the stage in the history of theatre and that modern film should take heed of it.
