According to tribal officials, a ruling is expected at 2 p.m. in the case of Chris Deschene v. Dale E. Tsosie. The Navajo Nation Supreme Court is currently hearing oral arguments and will decide whether Christopher Clark Deschene should be disqualified from running for Navajo Nation president because he is not fluent in the Navajo language. The hearing is in the Navajo Nation District Court in Tuba City. The hearing is in response to an appeal filed Monday by former presidential contender Dale E. Tsosie, who had filed a grievance against Deschene with the Navajo Office of Hearings and Appeals.
