Accountant [Ref: HRM/13/3] ILISO Consulting (Pty) Ltd – Posted by The Uganda Jobs – Kampala, Central Region, Uganda Job Description Reports to Finance & Administration Manager Responsibilities: Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts Carry out general ledger operations Prepare journal entries Carry out monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements Prepare monthly financial reports Prepare accounts receivable and accounts payable Prepare tax computations and returns Prepare budgets and forecasts Prepare payroll administration Prepare account/bank reconciliations Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures Develop and prepare monthly Reports. Prepare monthly and year-to-date financials with accompanying analysis of results Regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required Assist in the annual business plan development and budgeting process Assist in the financial planning and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives and business plans Ensure consistent service delivery in a consultative and solutions-based capacity to all levels of staff with regard to financially related company plans, policies and procedures by the Finance Team. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in commerce or business administration [majoring in finance and accounting] or in a related field from a creditable Institution. Experience: Practical experience of four (04) years minimum Knowledge of computerized Accounting packages like Tally will be of added advantage.
