Achievements of Shakeel Abbasi: In 2006: He was part of the team which won the silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia and the bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. In 2010: He was awarded a Category A central contract for the year.[5] He toured Europe as part of the national teams preparations for the Commonwealth Games in September.[6] He was part of the sixth place team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India. In the first match, he scored Pakistans opening goal in the 3–0 victory over Scotland.[7] In November, Abbasi was part of the team at the Asian Games in Guangzhou,China. In 2011: Abbasi was the part of the Pakistani team won the silver medal at 2011 Asian Mens Hockey Champions Trophy, Ordos, China. In 2012: Abbasi was the part of the Pakistani team which finished 7th in London Olympics 2012. In 2012 Mens Hockey Champions Trophy Shakeel Abbasi was declared player of the tournament. He was also part of Pakistani team won the 2012 Asian Mens Hockey Champions Trophy, Doha, Qatar.
