Ackerman could easily slip into reverie here, or sentiment, or pure self pity and distance. And yet, there is a true and absolute relationship between she and us that flourishes as she recounts her past and what occured to bring her toward us in the first place. Loni is in complete control as she marks time giving us information and placement, and yet, we can feel from the top she is in need. In deep, profound need. And finally, at the 4:18 mark, she Shatters. Watch her use of the Architecture as it is finally raised above her and almost smashes to pieces. It is her, It is her heart space, It is her devastation and her savior. It is every man and it is none at all. In that one moment, Loni gives us a look at who she has been all along...it seems no one ever took the time to ask.
