Action Alert October 19: Disability and Education Town Hall Focus: Chicago Public Schools Are you a parent of a child with a disability in CPS? Are you a student with a disability in CPS? Do you work with or advocate for children with disabilities in CPS? Disability advocates want to hear from YOU! On Saturday, October 19, disability advocacy and family support groups are hosting a public town hall meeting in order to hear from parents and allies of children with disabilities in the Chicago Public Schools. Please consider attending to testify on issues you see affecting students with disabilities in CPS. Testimonies should be about two to three minutes in length. We will also have a resource fair so that you can check out supports for students with disabilities, families and allies. When: Saturday, October 19 10 am to 1 pm (10-12 town hall, 12-1 resource fair) Where: Access Living, 115 W.
