Activists and civilians in the village of Delga, Deir Mawas, Minya (Upper Egypt), held a meeting on Friday to discuss the issues and problems of the village and search out solutions to remove tension and psychological effects caused by recent violence. Churches and Christians in the village were attacked and about 100 Christian families were displaced after the dispersal of the Muslim Brotherhood sit-ins in Rabaa el-Adaweya and Nahda Squares on August 14. Father Ayoub Yousef, priest of St. George Church in Delga, said the meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Adel Madani, professor of Medicine at Al-Azhar, and Dr. Nabil Samuel, former president of the Evangelical community.
