Acts 12: 5 Sisters and Brothers our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH saith that, Peter therefore was kept in prison:but prayer was made without ceasing of the Church unto GOD for him WHY GOD SHOULD AVENGE FOR YOU. WHEN people violate and repay you evil for good, they think they are smart but they are not. Some believers feel so hurt and believe that GOD is too slow and weak, and as a result they take vengeance themselves, getting themselves into more trouble. Vengeance is GODS. That means it is GOD that avenges for HIS children. Never take laws into your hands.Moreover, you face severe risks and limitations if GOD was to give you permission to avenge for yourself. For example there are some people who are highly placed and vicious that when they violate you , you cannot even complain, as long they remain in office. If they hear your noise, that might even be your death warrant. How can you avenge such people? But GOD can. Similarly, some who violated you either travelled abroad or you may not see them in the next 20 , 30 or more years . Or even for life. If you are to sustain your desire to avenge and JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH comes, you might be left behind. How can you carry out revenge on somebody you cannot see? Except you backslide and use demonic powers. But if the fellow has higher demonic powers, your revenge mission will be futile .Yet if you leave it to GOD, the fellow cannot escape it. In Acts 12:1-23, Herod targeted leaders of the early Church and killed Apostle James. Thereafter he arrested Peter and locked him up with the intention of killing him in few days time. He targeted the closest group to JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH-Peter, James and John. How furious the Church was! But how could they revenge? Every thing seem to be against them in favour of Herod. Could they break into his tight security and demand for his neck? Then they remembered that they can revenge through GOD so they prayed. They told GOD that they wanted Herod to die a sudden and shameful death and left it in GODS hands. Not long after that, GOD sent an angel to rescue Peter from prison. Then on Herod s most glorious day, HE sent the angel to strike him. Immediately, in the very eyes of those praising him, Herod fell and thousand of worms from nowhere ate every part of his body while still alive. He screamed and screamed but none could help him. Every one withdrew and watched in awe from a distance. By the time they came nearer, all they found was skeletons. Within minutes, no strand of flesh was left. Can you revenge like that? The Church rejoiced when they heard it. They were the cause but who could trace it to them? LET GOD AVENGE FOR YOU!! PRAYER POINT. If you were left to avenge for yourself, it will be based on what your offender did to you .But if you let GOD do it, it will be based on all offences committed against others.
