Acts 2:21......Whosoever shall call on the Name of The Lord shall be saved....ANY and ALL who CALL ON His Name WILL BE saved, but, what does it mean? This calling on His Name? It is, by Jesuss own words, much more than simply stated or professed belief (Matt 7:21-23). It is not merely head belief, it is heart belief. With our heads we may know something, but with our hearts we KNOW IT. And KNOWING something produces action. There is belief and then there is BELIEF. Many of us believe in certain causes, PETA, Right to Life, ACS, St. Judes Hospital, etc., but few of us donate our time and money to these worthy orginizations. And this is exactly the kind of calling on/belief Our Lord and Savior wants. You may have heard the saying used so and so CAME CALLING ON so and so, in reference to dating. That entails PURSUING AFTER AND CHASING the object of our affection. Doctors call on patients in the hospital, do they merely believe that they are there? Would you pay the bill of a doctor that did only this? And yet, Jesus has paid your bill, IN FULL, CANCELLED ANY AND ALL DEBT YOU HAVE WITH GOD, if you will but CALL ON His Saving Name.
