Acts 4:35 Offering For God so loved the world that He gave… John 3:16 Offering will be received on Sun., Dec. 21, 2014 The following ministries are suggestions that you may direct your gift towards. Some are church ministries and others are ministries that we are currently supporting through our missions fund. It is not a comprehensive list of every ministry that we do or that we support. As you pray, the Lord may direct your attention to one of these, or you may direct your gift elsewhere. I simply ask that you respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in your gift to Him. Acts 4:35 In this passage Luke describe how the early church responded to those in distress. We regularly set aside 2% of our offerings to help people in the church and community. Rather than providing a meal and presents, we will use monies designated to the Acts 4:35 fund to help with practical needs. Faithway Charitable Endowment Fund: The fund has provided a college scholarship to a Faith High senior every year and provides monies for school improvements such as updated computers and science equipment as well as scholarships for current Faithway students. Faithway Christian School: Our own K-12 Christian School founded in 1988 and serving families from over 20 different local churches Flint Life Challenge: This is a one-year intensive discipleship ministry especially for those struggling with life-controlling problems. Flint Life Challenge (formally Teen Challenge) currently serves 35 men. Brian Fielhauer of Himalayan Hope Ministries: Brian and Meli Feilhauer plant churches for New Life Ministries in North India. Brian has founded 22 churches in 3 states. They run 5 Balwadi schools for poor children as a means of outreach. Their latest church plants have been among people from Nepali Hindu background. They are moving to Nagaland State to create new opportunities. RUN: Nepali Rescue Project: Nepali believers work with the government at border crossings into India to identify girls who have been coerced or sold into prostitution. They have two homes for those who cannot return to their home. They minister restoration and give training in business skills. Iraqi Refugee Relief: The cost of rescuing a girl from slavery is about $250.00. Any amount will help those believers risking their lives to rescue those captured or on the run from militants. Uyghur Gospel Radio Broadcast: A Uyghur believer that we support (Zhurat Rakltipov) is the translator and voice of the Uyghur language Bible studies broadcast by Trans-World Radio into China’s Xingjian Province. Since most foreign workers have been expelled from Xinjiang, radio remains the single most effective means of reaching 10 million Uyghurs with the gospel. Amazon Xpedition: This church planting organization is based in Iquitos in the Amazon region of Peru. Directors, Adam & Jen Bostic teach at the Bible school started by the Mortimers (another family that we support) as well as ministering to the children of the many surrounding villages.
