Actually, his numbers are rather typical for a second-term presidency. Reagan was around 42%. Bush even lower. Nixon, forget about it. THe significance of the approval or disapproval rating is how recalcitrant the republicans want to contnue to be for the rest of his presidency. I think once they get their stuff together with Obamacare, it will become very popular. And his numbers will rise again. Meantime, Harry Reid should go nuclear and swtich senate rules to straight majority vote. Maybe we can get some things done. like appoint judges and fill vacancies.
