Adam Ko Mason UPDATE: I just got off the phone with my mom in Galveston, TX. Adam is doing somewhat better. The good part is that some if the swelling is going down. Also, his kidneys are showing significant signs of improvement and function. The bad part is that he will probably have to spend more time in the burn unit to further assess how extensive the damage really is, meaning more surgeries. As of this posting, he is going into surgery. The details are extremely graphic, as most burn victims surgeries tend to be. So, Ill spare you the visualizations. The main focus of the surgery seems to be to remove any tissue that might be considered dead tissue. Also at the same time measuring the amount of feeling that he has in his hand. I was able to talk with him for a brief moment. So, he is alert and able to eat. His voice is that of someone that has gone through a lot in a very short amount of time. His speech quivers like that of someone that is going through shock. His best friend is the morphine that he reluctantly uses for the unbearable pain given the procedures that he must endure. Thank you all for praying for him!!! I was able to express that many people are praying for him just before going into surgery. So, if you have shared any of the updates, thank you for getting the word out for all to help pray for him! God bless you all. I should know more, later this afternoon after his surgery.
