Contact: Michelle McKenzie at the NMVAHCS/Spinal Cord Injury Unit at (505) 265-1711, ext. 6085 Results of the 1st swing Adaptive Golf Clinic at KAFB were promising. Veterans and clinicians who attended and got a chance to swing the club and learn about adaptive golf all in all had a great experience. Thank you to those Veterans who signed up and came out for the day to meet our guest presenter Rick Monroe with the NAGA first Swing Organization and the various therapist from the VA, UNM and surrounding medical, rehab facilities. KAFB was indeed, the best host, accommodating our needs and providing us access to their SOLO Rider golf carts. If you have access to the Tijeras Arroyo Golf Course, I hope you take advantage and get out to swing the clubs. There are no more meet up and ride dates or meetings for the Veterans Cycling team this year. Please let me know If you would like to be involved with the up-coming PVA Adaptive Cycling Clinic, to be held in May 2014. We could use your help and support. Please note: I’m assigned to the In-patient SCIC and my new extension number is 6085. Michelle E.
