From our student matinee show report: There was a young woman sitting in front of the ridge that had some blood splatter onto her, during the hunters’ blooding scene. Unfortunately this young woman is highly allergic to many things, including the red dye used in the blood. She quickly left the theatre and the fireman on duty came to assist. Her reaction spread and she left the theatre in an ambulance. House management has further details. We will work the blooding scene in rehearsal this afternoon to clarify/prevent any further issues. The reaction was caused when we opened a knife that had a few drops of reel blood that landed on the students forearm that almost immediately caused her arm to double in size. Crazy.
