Adding to the almost countless number of surprises and blessings - TopicsExpress

Adding to the almost countless number of surprises and blessings during my travels in Morocco is this journey I had to make to go down south to the Sahara. I had to take the 7.30 am CTM bus from Casa and was supposed to reach my destination at Mhamid at 9.00 pm. After the first pit-stop at Marrakech, the bus made its way up to the Atlas mountains before heading further down south to Ouarzazate. I was just warned that it could be quite cold... never would I have expected to see snow! haha alhamdulillah. It started raining as the bus went further up and soon enough everything was white and I turned jakun (I cant seem to find an English substitute but really really excited i was just beaming lol). As it was snowing too heavily, I learnt that the longer any vehicle stopped, the lower its chances of making it through the weather. So at the end of the day I got the chance to see both the beautiful and harsh sides of snow. Alhamdulillah. We spent a night at a village nearby and went back to Marrakech before rerouting our journey through the slightly western city of Agadir the next morning. In the bus itself I made some friends, and somehow even for a couple of days we became pretty close, looking out for each other in the cold. This was in itself an adventure I will never forget... one which, like all of my adventures would have been complete if my family was with me. But insyaAllah, one day. insyaAllah. #muhammadinmorocco
