Additional information provided by FHP in regards to the crash this morning in Palm Harbor March 18th at 6:40 AM, 18 year old Taryn Airey was traveling southbound in a 2007 Jeep Laredo on West Lake Road approaching Queen Ann Boulevard. 16 year old Connor Fish was traveling northbound in a 2003 Honda Pilot on West Lake Road approaching Queen Ann Boulevard. Ms Airey failed to maintain a single lane and drifted partially into the northbound lane north of Queen Ann Boulevard and collided nearly head-on with the Honda Pilot. The impact caused both vehicles to rotate in a counter-clockwise motion with the Honda coming to a final rest partially on West Lake Road facing in a southeast direction and the Jeep coming to final rest partially on West Lake Road facing in a western direction. Mr Fish was transported the Bayfront Medical Center via Bayflite and his passenger was transported to St Joes along with the driver of the Jeep. Ms Airey was cited for failure to drive in a single lane.
