Aditya Kumar Mittal is new ECR GM नई दिल्ली New Delhi: Aditya Kumar Mittal, a product of 1978 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), on Thursday took over as new general manager (GM) of East Central Railway (ECR) following superannuation of Madhuresh Kumar. Mittal graduated from Regional Engineering College, Allahabad, in 1977, and is a recipient of many gold and silver medals for his academic excellence. He was deputed to Germany and Switzerland in 1990 to finalize the design of the third Godavari bridge. He has also undergone foreign training in HEC Business School, Paris, in 2006 for strategic management and business development. Besides, he had received special training for track management system in Italy in 2009. During his long career with railways, Mittal has worked on various important assignments, including divisional railway manager, Sonepur division, East Central Railway from September 12, 2005, to July 3, 2006, and again as divisional railway manager at Bhusawal in Central Railway from July 6, 2006, to October 24, 2007. As principal head of department, he has worked as chief administrative officer (construction), Eastern Railway, Kolkata, for about four years and one year as principal chief engineer, Central Railway, before joining as ECR new GM. On the other hand, A K Mital has been appointed as new chairman of the Railway Board and also as ex-officio principal secretary to the government
