Admin 3 reporting in on today sightings . i was out and about today and not in my own neck of the woods . i was on my way to Broardstairs to visit my pops who is not too well. I left lydd and my route took me through unfamiliar territory , so forgive me if i dont give dead acurate locations but i will do my best . I travelled to hythe and went up the old saltwood hill i think the place got renamed a few years back and its now known as pedlinge. We headed for the motorway up through newing green , M20 to folkestone and through the Alkam/Alkham valley . How am i doing so far ?... And it was there , to my awe and amazement The most wonderous sight to behold...... all along the hedgerows from Alkham valley almost right through to sandwich bypass and on to broadstairs itself The hedgerows were yielding fruit of every description from the humble blackberry to plum trees , elder trees sloes . I couldnt take it all in there was so many different things . Then i was brought straight back to reality in the realisation that because of my disability i could not get to these places on my own without being a passenger in a car . so although i will never be able to reap the rewards of my own little piece of hedgerow heaven, i wanted to share this with you all. For those who do have cars it would well be worth the drive out . And kersney Abby is there aswell so a good family day out and a scrump to boot .
