Administrators update- GaNala The report by COGTA on the situation has been completed and will be presented to the MEC later today. It does contain proposed follow up actions by government. Once the executive leadership has considered this further communication will follow. We are receiving various messages of continued unrests. It would appear as if the situation remains volatile. The Police is maintaining their presence and they apparently have arrested two people who are believed to be organisers of the protests. Various pipe breaks in the area are unattended at this stage whilst our waste removal is also limited due to insufficient staff. The licencing offices opened this morning but had to be closed due to security reasons. We hope to open it tomorrow again.
