Adolescence can be a difficult time for kids to express - TopicsExpress

Adolescence can be a difficult time for kids to express themselves, but 14-year-old Troy Kraly isnt worried about not fitting in. The mop-haired high school freshman doesnt seem bothered that interest in baton twirling has waned or that majorette teams are no longer a staple at high schools. He doesnt even care that its considered a girls sport. Troy, the only male baton twirler at his school, took first place in a national twirling contest at the University of Notre Dame last month. In April, hell head to Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, for the World Twirling Championship — the Super Bowl of baton twirling. I honestly dont care what people say about what Im doing because its making me happy, he said.
