Adoption poem: There once was a little girl so timid and small, who needed a home but had no place at all. She had moved from home to home but none of these seemed to fit. She had no form of permanency, There were no candles still lit. Little did she know that in a window close by, there was a family who waited for just one try. This family wanted to provide more than presents at Christmas, and more than food at thanksgiving. This family wanted a bigger reason for living. For this family wanted a child, So timid and small. They wanted to care for and love this child, with their everything, their all. So they lit their candle in the window to let that little child know, That there was so much room for their family to grow. As the child sat in their room staring out into space, there was a team behind the scenes, working on a place. This team could see the window with the candle so bright.. And knew this family would fit the child just right. So the team opened their hearts and pulled back the blind, to show the child the candle in this familys window that shined. The childs eyes lit up, for she could see the world was good, She had found a family that would love her like they should. So the papers were signed and the child was on her way, To the warm family that wanted her, so desperately to stay. Many people worked very hard to show a little girl so small , That the gift of a family was the best gift of all.
