Adrianne Akmajian and Jon Scordino, Makah Fisheries & MMSN, shared a report this afternoon of a sighting of at least 20 killer whales going past Neah Bay, headed east at 9:30 Sat. April 19th at 9:30 am. There have been 2nd hand reports of possible L pod or other Residents off Newport, OR yesterday, and it sounds like Residents headed into the Strait this morning, so it sounds like the Easter Bunny might bring us whales tomorrow here in the Salish Sea! Also, more reports of the Transients in Puget Sound: Single orca off Titlow Beach in Tacoma. Two orcas off Tacoma yachtclub/ Anthonys restaurant hunting together. 04/19/2014 12:30 PM.
