Ads by Google READ MORE rush|Delhi University|online registration|OMR forms|Mission Admission Delhi University: Registrations cross 1 lakh mark, more students go online Students welcome FYUP RELATED Loading NEW DELHI: Online registrations for admission to undergraduate courses to Delhi University colleges is fast catching up with offline registrations as 56,535 aspirants filled forms over internet as against 59,756 candidates submitting OMR forms. The total number of registrations crossed the one-lakh mark on Tuesday. Till the time of filing of this report, 1, 16,291 candidates in all applied to the four-year undergraduate programme the university is introducing from the 2013-14 academic session. This figure does not include the over 22,000 aspirants who have registered for the new Bachelor in Management Studies to be introduced across six colleges from this year. After the first few days witnessed rush at the counters, the 18 designated centres for sale and submission of OMR forms is now well stocked up. On Tuesday, the university sold 9,940 forms while it received 12,496. Online applications, too, crossed the one lakh mark on Tuesday as 1, 06,137 aspirants created their accounts, of whom 76,487 completed filling the forms online. DU officials claim that this year registrations will cross two lakh for the first time. They are also saying response to online applications has been overwhel8ming. "The last few days have been outstanding for the online registration process. This is a positive sign," deputy dean of student welfare Gurpreet Singh Tuteja said.
