Advances in cyber-physical systems are critical for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the entire U.S. highway transportation industry to meet increasingly complex and difficult goals that include increasing safety, reducing energy dependence, supporting sustainable economic growth, and increasing quality of life. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is seeking breakthrough CPS projects that offer a significant advance in creating a safe highway transportation system that connects infrastructure, vehicles, people and goods. So, if you can apply technology and engineering solutions to new approaches in things like bridge computing, communication and control, they need you! The NSFs Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) program is developing the core system science needed to engineer complex cyber-physical systems upon which people can depend with high confidence. They are accepting proposals between May 19 and June 2, 2014. Find all the information youll need here: buff.ly/1cxKLrq
