Advent Calendar for the Spiritual But Not Religious Boomer- Advent is a time of preparation for Christmas. Niles from a folk song Anne Morgan sang for a quarter a line. This song speaks to the commonality of Christs birth. It also tells why the birth is an important part of our faith, that we have value before our creator. Faith is something to be in wonder about and to reflect on. In a few short lines, it teaches about why it was important that God was born like us, to be one of us, to be at one with us and then to lift us up into the life to come. Dear Creator, We know that you promised and delivered a King not as the earth knows Kings, not as a tyrant ruling through power and might, but as a King of our hearts, who changes a heart to one of love like you had for us.
