Advert Job Title: Club Manager Schedule: Permanent contract, 35 hours per week on a flexible basis Location: Pinewood Leisure Centre, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 3AQ Annual Salary: From £28,000 Benefits: 24 days holiday, plus 8 statutory days,Pension scheme Pinewood Gymnastics Club is looking for a Club Manager to take on the day-to-day running of the Club and for executing the Club’s long term strategy on behalf of the Board. The Club Manager role is extremely varied and offers an exciting opportunity to operate across a range of functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, Health & Safety and Welfare. This is a wide ranging and challenging role which requires strong leadership and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. We are looking for someone who has previously had responsibility for running a gymnastics club or similar sports/leisure club in a customer service environment. It is a highly visible role and will involve day to day interaction with the public. Business Management skills and experience are essential for the role as the successful candidate will take the lead in all HR matters and own the relationship with our outsourced HR service provider. Experience of gymnastics and an appreciation of the policies and guidelines advised by British Gymnastics are desirable but additional training can be given in this area. While candidates may have come from a gymnastics background and possess coaching qualifications, it is not a requirement as the role will not involve coaching; however a coaching background and understanding of the demands would be an advantage.
