ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT WILL REPORT TO THE SUPERVISOR: INSTRUMENTATION AND THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: § Accurate calibration of all process instrumentation § Ensure requirements for instrumentation calibration from the different departments are met. § Regularly review process performance to identify areas of potential development / enhancement § Detailed programming and maintenance of Siemens PLC’s. § Configuration and maintenance of Scada system § Monitor and advise on the settings of machinery to optimise performance § Monitor the process on a daily basis to ensure optimum effectiveness § Ensure instrumentation is calibrated correctly toward optimising the production process performance and capacity § Provide technical instrumentation support service to all instrumentation users § Update Scada to assist production teams with decision making § Trending of historical data to assist with decision making and troubleshooting critical production events. § Lock out and isolation of electrical equipment § Maintain internal and external relations, including the interface with external contractors responsible to ensure business needs are met and employees are satisfied. § Provide relevant and specialised technical support to applicable stakeholders. § Enhance safety awareness throughout working area and declaration of safe working place § Ensure working area and equipment is clean and safe at all times and in good working condition § Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures § PPE is worn during shift and safety rules and regulations adhered to § Oversee adherence to housekeeping principles. § Ensure that all systems installed to assist with legal compliance monitoring are operational at all times.
