Advertising for chip who has the LY mk1: Description as written by him: Freshened up about 3 thousand miles ago (just under 3 years but car was off road for most of it) with new rings and ARP rod bolts. Valves lapped in etc and of course new head gasket and belts and bolts. Piper 285 billet camshafts (540 quid to buy currently) inlet cam has been modified slightly to open the timing slot up so I could nudge the timing on standard pulleys. Cambelt approx 3 years old now so for high rpm use I would advise replacement personally. Powder coated cam cover and belt cover so looks quite tidy too, with a carbon plug leads cover. Comes with alternator but no inlet manifold or loom or ecu (was on custom inlet and aftermarket) Perfect for MK1 1.8 16v conversion To reproduce is over 1000 quid in parts on top of having a Williams engine in the first place. Sump has small crack which has been repaired with chemical metal, but now engine is out it would make sense to swap it or weld it. Comes with a low miles 172 flywheel and 3k old new 172 clutch. 700 pounds collected from Newark on Trent (ng24) Also got a super sprint exhaust manifold I can include for extra cost.
