Advice Issued For: Dimboola, Netherby, Nhill, Telopea Downs, Yanac, Kaniva Fire Origin: 59KMS NORTH WEST YANAC Incident Name: BIG DESERT WP RED BLUFF Issued: 26/01/14 1:14 PM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Dimboola, Netherby, Nhill, Telopea Downs, Yanac, Kaniva. Fire fighters continue to monitor the fire in the Big Desert Wilderness Park 59KMS NORTH WEST YANAC. This fire is currently under control. Wyperfeld National Park, including Lake Albacutya, Big Desert Wilderness Park and the section of the Murray Sunset National Park south of the Sturt Highway will remain closed to the public over the long weekend and into next week. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 27/01/14 1:30 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via depi.vic.gov.au.
